Calico Soup Blend is a rich and savory combination of beans and grains ready for cooking. Convenient and nutritious, cook in your favorite stock or use one of Chieftain’s Seasonings to round out the flavor.  This colorful blend contains; Red Chief Lentils, Green Lentils, Small Baby Lima Beans, Green Split Peas, Yellow Split Peas, Navy Beans, Blackeye Beans, Pinto Beans, Small Red Beans and Pearled Barley.

Suggested Use:

Calico Soup Blend cooks into a thick soup and can be prepared in about an hour. Just rinse and cook, the lentils, split peas and barley dissolve during the cooking process, while the other beans retain their shape. A variety of stocks can be used to flavor this blend as well as onions, carrots, celery and dried herbs.  One cup dried yields 3 cups cooked.
