PASTE, PASILLA CHILE
Description:
The Pasilla (Pa-see-ya) Negro is a traditional chile used in both Southwestern and American dishes. Richly colored like an Eggplant or a Raisin, this thin-fleshed chile has an offbeat berry flavor with herbaceous tones. The Pasilla is a chile often used in Mole sauce, it is also considered one of the "Holy Trinity" chiles. Spicier than other chiles, this paste is a time saver in the kitchen making it easy to use in your favorite dishes.
Suggested Use:
These pastes can be used as step savers for any dish requiring heat and flavor, normally produced by the addition of chile peppers. Add them to sauces or invent your own uses, they can save you time during preparation.
