BELL PEPPER, RED, DICED 1/4

Description:

Sweet Red Bell Peppers are plump, bell-shaped vegetables featuring either three or four lobes.  Although they belong to the Capsicum family, they contain a recessive gene that eliminates Capsaicin, the compound responsible for the sizzling "heat" found in other peppers.  Ranging in size from 2 to 5 inches in diameter and about 2 to 6 inches in length, they have a thick flesh inside with edible bitter seeds.  When young, most bell peppers are bright green.  There are also yellow, orange, purple, red and brown Bell Peppers.  Red Bell Peppers are Green Bell Peppers that have ripened longer.  Their taste is very sweet.  Our Red Bell Peppers are diced in 1/4 inches pieces.  

Suggested Use:
Diced Red Bell Peppers may be used anywhere you normally use Green Bell Peppers.  They add a sweet flavor and rich color to soups, salads, stir-fry, stuffing, salsa, chutney, marinades and dressings.
