Hominy Grits have a wholesome corn flavor that is enjoyed as a breakfast cereal or side dish. Hominy Grits may be cooked, (usually baked or boiled) in milk or water. Once cooked grits may be complimented with herbs, cheese, dried tomatoes or fruit. Hominy and hominy grits are often confused. Hominy is the whole kernel of corn which has been treated with lye to remove the hulls. Grits are the finer particles or broken hominy.

Baked White Grits with sun dried tomatoes, White Grits with cheese, and White Grits soufflé make delicious sides to any meal. Grits can be molded or cut into thick slices, covered with syrup, sorghum or molasses and butter for a tasty breakfast treat.
Recommended Preparation Instructions:
Bring water to a boil. Slowly add the grits, stirring often, and be sure to scrape the bottom will. Simmer for 12-15 minutes or until cooked fully.
