Description:

Peach, also known as the “Persian Apple” is native to China and was introduced to Persia and the Mediterranean region in early historical times. Most Peaches are yellow gold colored with red tones and the flesh is sweet and fragrant. Peaches are classified either as clingstone or freestone according to how difficult it is to remove the pit. Dried Peaches are a refreshing treat during the off-season when fresh fruit is not available. Dried peaches make an excellent snack alone or mixed into your own homemade trail mix or granola. They can be used in quick breads, chutney, cobblers, cookies, granola and pies.

Recommended Preparation Instructions:

There is no preparation needed for dried fruit. If used in baking, you may want to rehydrate. To rehydrate dried fruit, pour boiling water over the fruit and let sit covered for 5-10 minutes. Drain well before using.
