Description:

Pineapple, also known as “Ananas” is so named because of its resemblance to a pinecone.  Pineapple is native to Central and South America where figurative representations of its form were found in pre-Incan ruins.  For centuries the Pineapple has been used to symbolize hospitality.  Sporting sword-like leaves jutting from a single tuft, the Pineapple has a vibrant, tropical, tangy-sweet taste.  Pineapples are a good source for Vitamins C and A.  Granulated Pineapple is finely diced making it easy to dispense in your favorite recipe.  

Suggested Use:
Use Granulated Pineapple in cheesecake, bread pudding, liqueur, ice cream, milk shakes, fruit salads and muffins.  Sprinkle into your pancake batter for a tropical burst or prepare a tangy sauce to compliment pork, chicken and ham.
