Mushrooms bring to mind endless varieties of fungus in various shapes, sizes and colors.  Popular as a cooking ingredient throughout Europe and the Orient for centuries, the mushroom has recently received a great deal more attention here in the U.S.  With literally thousands of varieties of this fleshy fungus, gourmet cooks have at their disposal a multitude of choices of flavors to enhance their cuisine. Dried mushrooms, besides being economical have a more concentrated flavor than their fresh counterparts.  A smaller amount is needed for recipes.  North Woods Mushroom Blend is a savory and versatile mixture of wild and cultivated Dried Mushrooms. This Blend adds a rich, hearty flavor containing Lobster, Shiitake, Porcini, Morels, Oyster, Sliced Shiitake and Boletes.

Suggested Use:
Use it to add a rich, hearty flavor to beef, pork and poultry recipes, vegetable soups, stir fry recipes, hunter stew, casseroles, tapenade, spiced dishes, lassagna, rice dishes, pasta, stuffings and sauces.
