TRUFFLE, D'ALLASANDRO, WHITE OIL
Description:
D’Allasandro White Truffle Oil is made using the aroma of the Tuber magnatum pico. This oil can be used with poultry, seafood, beef or game. Highly esteemed and almost as valuable as their darker cousin the Black Truffle, White Truffles have a loyal following among food lovers. Growing symbiotically with oak, hazel, poplar and beech trees, the White Truffle “fruits” in autumn. White Truffles can reach 12 cm diameter and their flesh is pale cream or brown with white marbling. The flavor of the White Truffle is fragrant with an earthy flavor. Specially trained dogs seek White Truffles out. Use of hogs has decreased through the years since there is less risk of the dogs ingesting the Truffle when found.
Suggested Use:
Drizzle over fresh bread, risotto, foccacia, pizza, vegetables, pasta, salads, soups, ragouts and sauces. Add to vinaigrettes for vegetables and salads. HINT: For maximum flavor, add D'Allasandro Brand White Truffle Oil near the end of preparation of hot dishes.
