COLORADO BAKED BEANS
  • 1 pound dry Beans, washed
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
  • ¾ cup chopped onion
  • ¼ cup molasses
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ pound salt pork, cut in small pieces
Mix all ingredients in 3 quart ovenproof dish. Bake, covered, in preheated 300° oven for 3 hours or until beans are softened but still slightly firm. Increase heat to 325°. Uncover, stir and bake about 30 minutes longer or until beans are soft but not mushy and sauce has thickened to desired consistency. 8 to 10 servings.
