Naturally gluten and allergen free, Rice River Farms Calico Creek Blend is a hearty, rich blend of dry roasted wild rice, brown rice, red rice, and Job's tears. Complimented by a savory seasoning, this blend is savory and delicious! The seasoning is included with the rice blend but is packaged separately so you can use as much or as little as you would like.
Use Calico Creek Blend as a base for stuffing for poultry and wild game or use as a side dish for steak, pork or chicken. Each 10 oz. pouch will easily serve a family of four with generous portions. Freeze any leftovers to use in salads or soups! If you like whole grain blends try our Northwoods Blend.

Recommended Preparation Instructions

- 2 T. butter or olive oil (optional)

Combine 1 package of rice blend, seasoning packet, water, and butter in a 2 1/2 quart saucepan. Bring to a boil then stir. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 35-45 minutes or until water is absorbed. Remove from heat; let stand 5-10 minutes, then fluff with a fork and serve.
