Naturally gluten and allergen free, Purple Sticky Rice is also known as Black Thai Rice and is native to Thailand. This rice is striking in color with a slightly sweet flavor and sticky texture. It cooks up to a dark, shiny indigo color which makes it the perfect contrast in sushi, salads, and rice pudding. Home chefs can timbale the rice to compliment center plate; perfect for vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Recommended Preparation Instructions
- 1 cup Purple Sticky Rice
- 2 cups water
- 2 T. butter or olive oil (optional)

Combine 1 cup of rice with 2 cups of water, and butter in saucepan (or rice cooker). Bring to a boil then stir. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 40 minutes or until water is absorbed and rice is tender. Remove from heat; let stand 5-10 minutes, then fluff with a fork and serve.
Yield: Approximately 4 cups of cooked rice.
