Brown Flax Seed comes from the Linseed plant and is about 3/16 inches long. Flaxseed contains both soluble fiber and insoluble fiber and adds a light, nutty flavor and pleasant crunch to foods while packing a nutritional punch.

The seeds are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants and add texture and nutrition to recipes. They are a great alternative for those with allergies to peanuts and tree nuts. They can be used whole or ground in baked goods such as bread and granola to breakfast cereal, oatmeal, and salads.
