Temporarily Unavailable...  Mushrooms bring to mind endless varieties of fungus in various shapes, sizes, and colors.  Popular as a cooking ingredient throughout Europe and the Orient for centuries, the mushroom has recently received a great deal more attention here in the U.S.  With literally thousands of varieties of this fleshy fungus, gourmet cooks have at their disposal a multitude of choices of flavors to enhance their cuisine. Dried mushrooms, besides being economical have a more concentrated flavor than their fresh counterparts.  A smaller amount is needed for recipes.  North Woods Mushroom Blend is a savory and versatile mixture of wild and cultivated Dried Mushrooms.

Ingredient Statement:

Mushrooms: Lobster, Shiitake, Porcini, Morels, Oyster, Sliced Shiitake, Boletes.

Contains Naturally Occurring Sulfites.

Use it to add a rich, hearty flavor to beef, pork, and poultry recipes, vegetable soups, stir fry recipes, hunter stew, casseroles, tapenade, spiced dishes, lasagna, rice dishes, pasta, stuffings, and sauces.

Recommended Preparation Instructions:

Rinse product in cold running tap water to remove any possible debris. To reconstitute, place the desired amount into a bowl, cover with boiling water and let soak for 15-20 minutes before draining. Or, add directly to recipe that will cook for at least 20 minutes. A general rule, 1 oz. dry reconstitutes to 3-4 oz.

Note: These are wild mushrooms, they may have stones embedded in their flesh, which may not be dislodged by agitation and reconstitution.
