Savory mushroom wild rice stuffing


Cook Savory Mushroom Wild Rice Blend with Garlic Peppercorn or Chicken Flavored seasoning as directed on the bag.                              

For Stuffing:

Heat olive oil in skillet and sauté shallots and celery until tender.  In a large bowl, combine the jobs tears, cranberries, pumpkin seeds, apples, chopped herbs, and cooked rice with the croutons (or corn bread), sautéed shallots and celery.  Add the chicken stock to desired moistness and eggs if desired.  Mix thoroughly.  

Place mixture in greased hotel pan, dot with butter, cover and bake in oven at 350 degrees for approximately one hour or until done.  To brown stuffing, remove cover and bake an additional 10 minutes. 

Recipe will make approximately ½ or more of a hotel pan of stuffing*.

Optional ingredients: Personalize your stuffing by adding golden raisins, pine nuts, sliced giblets, sausage or bacon.

*Yield will vary depending on type of breading used in stuffing.
