14 oz package Rice River Farms Dry Roasted Wild Rice
2 lbs. ground beef
8 oz can mushroom, drained
½ cup chopped celery
½ cup shredded carrots
1 cup chopped onions
½ cup butter
2 cups sour cream
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
6 cups cooked, Premium Dry Roasted Wild Rice®
½ cup slivered almonds
Parsley sprigs, optional
Recipe Directions:
Prepare rice per package directions. You will need approximately 1 ½ cups of prepared rice.
In a separate pan, brown the beef and drain; set aside. Sauté mushrooms, celery, carrots and onions in butter 5-10 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine sour cream, soy sauce, salt and pepper. Add cooked Wild Rice, beef, sautéed vegetables, and almonds. Toss lightly.
Place mixture in a lightly greased 3-quart casserole, uncovered. Bake 1 hour in 350° oven. Stir several times during baking, adding more water if needed.
Garnish with almonds and parsley.
Makes 10-12 servings.
